The photographers Kati and Ian Byrne of Developing
Dreams show impressions of life in countries such as
Cuba, China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam,
Australia and France.
Ian Byrne, the founder of Developing Dreams, said:
"The theme of Mo.tion is two-fold. It is about
people and objects in motion as well as the
photographers being in motion through their travels.
These are like a collision of cultures and moments.
The traveler becomes stationary and it is the world
around him that moves. Instead of traveling around
the world the world travels around the photographer
and it is these moments you capture and show."
As part of Mo.tion, The Foundry will show short
films by independent film maker Matthew Schroeder
and artist Natalia Szostak including the
award-winning music video "Window" featuring up and
coming Polish artist Bajzel.
Mo.tion is on at The Foundry from 26th November
until 7th December 2008. The launch event will be on
Wednesday 26th November with live jazz band "The Foundry Big Band" and DJ.
